Content Crooner Review
Content Crooner is an article submission service that used to be known as Article Marketer. Article Marketer actually split into two separate services…Content Crooner and Distribute Your Articles. Content Crooner is more or less the exact same service as Article Marketer was and I’ve been a satisfied customer for several years.
From my personal experience, and from talking with others who have used both, Content Crooner is the better choice when compared to Distribute Your Articles.
One feature I like about Content Crooner that Article Marketer didn’t offer was the ability to add additional pen names. This may not be important for some people but if you submit articles in a number of different niches or if you submit articles for SEO clients, the ability to have more than one pen name is essential.
I’ve had ok results with this service as each article is typically submitted to anywhere from 600-900 different article directories and websites including two of the most popular article directories…Ezine Articles and Go Articles.
A couple things that Content Crooner lacks that I feel would make it more effective are the ability to spin articles and timed submissions. Currently, Content Crooner blasts your article out to all 600-900 sites at once. Additionally, the exact same version of your article is sent to all of the sites rather than different versions of the same article as several other services do.
Content Crooner can be effective in boosting your search engine rankings via back links for long tail keywords. These are keywords that get a smaller amount of searches and don’t have as much competition…and it is certainly effective in getting your articles out to hundreds of directories and websites if that is your goal.
If I were comparing Content Crooner vs. Unique Article Wizard, UAW would still be my preferred article distribution service. Overall, Content Crooner would not be one of my top choices.

When Article Marketer split, I chose Content Crooner over Distribute Your Articles and have been very satisfied.
Thanks for your review. When Article Marketer split their customers into two distributeyourarticles.com and contentcrooner.com I unfortunately got put into distributeyourarticles.com. I can’t tell you how furious I am with them.
They delay distribution of articles for stupid reasons, like they didn’t read the content of the article so they didn’t like the category.
When they were forced on me, they charged my credit card $99 and told me that I had to pick a package from three VERY confusing packages.
They had a package that was six months free. So I decided to take it. They wouldn’t give me my money back, but still kept insisting that I was getting six months free. Their support stinks and don’t appear to be very “with it.” I mean really, who would tell a customer they are getting six months free after charging you $99.00 and they won’t give you your money back.
I had to stay with them so I could recoup some of my losses.
I’m going to switch over to contentcrooner and I hope they treat their customers much better. At least I hope they realize who the customer is.
I have used both these services and also UAW and CC is the best in terms of submission. UAW for backlinks and I would not go near DYA. They have not got a clue and will delay submission – fail to answer support questions and offer a difficult site to navigate when setting up your user profile.

I think I’ll go forward, although I worry about the fact that you say they dump out to 600-900 instantly. We get some good organic traffic now, and I wouldn’t want Google to slap us for overwhelming or what might be thought to be unrealistic links. We only have a small number of links now.

Getting all the links at once shouldn’t be an issue as long as you are submitting articles regularly. Your articles won’t all be accepted at the various directories at the same time anyways plus it will take Google a while to find the links. Consistency is key with article marketing.

I’ve been using UAW for almost 3 months now, and only a fraction of a percent of the articles have showed up yet.(5-10 out of 1500+) Several of the blogs they are distributed on are deleted Blogger blogs. I had considered moving to CC.
After hearing the opinion UAW is better, I’m scratching my head here. Am I being too impatient?
Yes I would say be more patient. I’ve gotten much better results with UAW than CC. UAW just recently removed a lot of blogs from their system that were of questionable quality…so they are committed to improving the quality of the network.
I have used both Content Crooner and the Distribute Your Articles sites for article marketing. I noticed that I was rising in the serps for my targeted keywords, however I was not generating many do follow back links. I still use Distribute Your Articles every week and I’m quite happy with the service. I think they are a little picky though when it comes to the editing. Sometimes I will have to edit an article several times before getting it distributed. Overall, I am pleased with what I get for the money. Great post by the way.
Not a fan of Content Crooner after testing it for a while. I agree that UAW is the way to go.
